Stylish Blogger Award

Today I had a lovely surprise waiting for me when I signed into my blog. A blogger friend http://www.ascrappydream.blogspot.com/  awarded me this wonderful blog award!

Thank you Von, you have made my day extra special! Make sure you check her out! She creates amazing mini albums and cards!

This award does come with some rules so please follow along.

1. Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this
2. Share 8 things about yourself
3. Pay it forward to 8 bloggers that you have recently discovered
4. Contact those bloggers and tell them about their awards

Things about me you didn't know!
  1. I love licorice.
  2. I love vintage.
  3. I love thrift/flee market shopping.
  4. I have a room just for crafting, everything is always neat and organized. Although my hands and fingers are always messy from inks and glue! :))
  5. Crafting is a place where I am totally at peace with myself and my creater!
  6. I love dogs, but don't have any! One day when my hubby and I retire we'll get one!
  7. I'm quite clumsy! I'll drop things no matter where I am. One time I broke an inexpensive crystal thingy at an antique store... Yup had to pay for it! I trip up the stairs and fall down the stairs! And from time to time I'll drop my curling iron and burn my neck! Ouch!! Oh ya..... I'm always burning myself on the stove!!
  8. I love to cook, bake and try new recipes.

Pumpkin Cheesecake with Praline sauce!

More Yummy Goodness from Christina's Kitchen...

A delish recipe for the Fall/Winter Season

You will need one ready made graham crust, maybe two because this make recipe makes lots of filling.

Pumpkin Filling
  • 2 packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 can pumpkin filling (15-ounce)
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger

Praline Topping
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • dash salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Filling:
Beat cream cheese until fluffy. (Do not overbeat) Add sugar and beat for another minute until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating for 20 seconds afer each addition. Add vanilla, pumpkin and spices and mix for about 30 seconds. Pour filling over crust. Bake about 1 hour, until the filling is set and golden on top. Cool cheesecake completely.

Topping:
Stir together brown sugar, cream and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Boil for 1 1/2 minutes. ( A gentle boil) Remove pan from heat and stir in vanilla, salt and pecans. Cool topping at least 20 minutes before pouring over the cheesecake. Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.

Enjoy! xo
